Judge Denies Request - 10/13/99
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge denied a request by Ol' Dirty Bastard's attorney Robert Shapiro to dismiss the rapper's body-armor case Wednesday (Oct. 13), according to the clerk in Judge Marsha Revel's courtroom. Revel disagreed with Shapiro's argument that police had no right to charge ODB for wearing a bulletproof vest in February.

The Wu-Tang Clan rapper, who is undergoing drug rehabilitation, wore a tan suit for a hearing Wednesday morning regarding the vest case as well as separate charges that he threatened the lives of security guards at the West Hollywood, Calif., House of Blues club last year. Both cases were put over until Nov. 19. ODB's second solo album, N***a Please, hit stores last month.
