The most erratic and unpredictable member of Wu-Tang Clan, Ol' Dirty Bastard aka Russell Jones was born in Fort Green, Brooklyn in 1968.
In 1992, ODB helped form the Staten Island-based hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan with cousins RZA and the Genius and attacked the underground with their debut release, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
In March 1995, he released his debut solo album "Return to the 36 Chambers" introducing his dirty and insane rapping style that has took him to the top of the game. The album featured a lot of rappers including members of Wu-Tang.
Ol Dirty is not afraid to speak his mind as shown at the 1998 Grammy Awards Show. After losing to P. Diddy in the "Best Rap Album" category, ODB rushed the stage in rage and took the mic and shouted, "Puffy is good, but Wu-Tang is for the children."
In July 1998, While he was in a Brooklyn apartment, several armed intruders entered through an unlocked door and began snatching his jewelry. One of the robbers then shot ODB in the back but luckily he only suffered minor wounds.
